On the evening of December 6th, the Zhongshan Expert Forum witnessed another lecture feast in the name of keeping it real and treasuring the time, of which the hosts are the Communist Youth League committee and the Youth Media. The Students Center was crowded with students and teachers to have a glimpse of Wang Jin, a artifacts restorer worked in the Department of Conservation Science of the Palace Museum, whose responsibilities are to have the ancient clocks preserved and restored.
Mr Wang firstly introduced the history, classification and inheritance pedigree of the artifacts restorer, and then the reproduction procedure of ancient clocks including photo inspection, disassembling and cleaning, oiling and waxing, while the patience and meticulousness were needed throughout.
Lastly, several repaired clock artifacts and their sophisticated components were placed on the digital screen, while new technologies would have a quick way to show the word the exquisite and well-functioned clocks and stimulate the youth presented.
